Alexandra Aroshvili
Alexandra Aroshvili is an independent researcher and publicist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. She has authored research and publications on social policy, political economy, various forms of inequality, informal and atypical work, women’s migration, extractivism, and ecology. She has founded various social movements and public campaigns and collaborated with numerous print and online publications. Over the years, she has worked with workers and trade unions, critiqued Georgia’s economic policy, and contributed to developing an alternative model of pension reform. She has also worked on Tbilisi’s transport reform. Since 2020, she has been actively engaged in peripheral social and environmental protests involving local populations. Currently, she focuses on issues related to hydroenergy and infrastructural coloniality.
