Ana Trapaidze

Ana Trapaidze, PhD in Bio and Nano Technology, Biophysicist, and Associated Professor at Ken Walker International University, has initiated and led the Dighomi Meadows Initiative since 2020 to halt the degradation and achieve the restoration of Tbilisi's last riparian forest. The initiative is a standout example of successful environmental advocacy, thanks to its comprehensive use of diverse legal avenues and innovative strategies, including legal battles, advocacy campaigns, educational and awareness-raising lectures and workshops, site tours, enhancing media visibility, and collaboration with local NGOs and academia.
