Andreia Garcia

Andreia Garcia

Andreia Garcia is an architect, curator, researcher and professor, with a PhD from Lisbon School of Architecture (FAUL) award as the best architectural thesis in 2015.

Her interests focus on the contemporary practice of architecture, expanding the disciplinary intersection with other fields of knowledge, in an era dominated by strong technological advances and a progressive ecological crisis.

She was a professor at the School of Architecture of the University of Minho, in Guimarães and at the Architectural Association, in London. She is Assistant Professor and Vice President of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Beira Interior. 

She is the founder of the Architectural Affairs studio, and her professional work has been distinguished several times, i.e. nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award (2022). She is founder and curator of Galeria de Arquitectura, in Porto and the artistic director of the Art(e)Facts Knowledge Biennale, in Fundão. In 2023, Andreia was the curator of the Portuguese Pavilion at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia.
