Arsen Abrahamyan
Arsen Abrahamyan is an architect and urban researcher based in Yerevan, Armenia. He is a member of the “Cultural and Social Narratives Laboratory” (CSN Lab), a research-based cultural organisation, and is primarily involved in projects related to architectural heritage and the urban environment. Arsen is also a concept architect in the “Storaket” architectural studio.
His range of research interests includes the transformations of urban landscapes and their causes, the relationship between the urban environment and public structures, the transformation and colonisation of the natural landscape, displacement, and the memory of place, as well as the social, cultural, and anthropological memory of architecture and urban space.
In recent years, as part of the CSN Lab, Arsen Abrahamyan has been involved in multidisciplinary projects dedicated to spatial justice, urban memory, and architecture.
Arsen Abrahamyan is currently working on his PhD thesis, which examines the layering of Yerevan’s urban landscape, its socio-cultural and political context, and the resulting modern urban challenges.
