Cultural and Social Narratives Laboratory (CSN LAB)

The CSN Lab is a cultural organisation based in Yerevan. It is an active cultural initiative involved in research and supporting culture and human rights activism. The main focus areas for the CSN Lab team include memory studies, such as urbanism and memory, colonial past and memory, migration and memory, nature/environment and memory among others. Through multidisciplinary research initiatives, the organisation emphasises the importance of public discourse on preserving vernacular architecture, exploring diverse forms of co-existence within architectural environments, and safeguarding both tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

As a cultural organisation, the CSN Lab advocates for cultural rights and democracy in Armenia and the South Caucasus region. The team is committed to supporting Armenia's young democracy while promoting dialogue at both local and regional levels, aiming to transform conflicts, foster equality and solidarity, and cultivate a sustainable social and cultural ecosystem. As an active actor in Armenia's civil society, CSN Lab also plays a role in facilitating and fostering dialogue between Armenia and the EU.
