Ia Eradze
Ia Eradze has a PhD in social and economic sciences. She is an associate professor at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and a researcher at the Institute for Social and Cultural Research, at Ilia State University. After finishing her PhD, Ia worked on a postdoctoral project at the Leibniz Center for Contemporary History, in Potsdam. Over the last two years, she was a visiting researcher at Harvard, Trinity College, University of Vienna and Sciences Po Paris. Ia has taught different courses on graduate and undergraduate levels at the University of Kassel, Berlin School of Economics and Law, Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University and Georgian Institute for Public Affairs. Her research has been published in Georgian, English, German and (soon) Spanish (by Cambridge Journal of Economics, Globalizations, Jahrbücher für Geschichte Osteuropas, Caucasus Analytical Digest, Edward Elgar Publishing). Ia is the author of a monograph Unraveling Dollarization Persistence: the case of Georgia (published by Routledge in 2023) and the coauthor of the book At the expense of others? How the imperial mode of living prevents a good life for all (published by Oekom
Verlag in 2019).
