Kera

Kera

KERA was founded in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2018 by Aleksandre Bakhtadze and Konstantine Gunia.

The practice focused its early work on experimenting with the themes of physical as well as metaphysical context of locus and materiality.

After completing several unrealized projects and reaching the finalist shortlist in the YAC Calamity Atelier competition in 2019, Beka Gujejiani joined the practice.

Since 2020, KERA has worked on multiple private house projects, further focusing on the attempts to translate vernacular building techniques and collective knowledge into today's architecture.

Apart from housing, the practice has worked on several hospitality projects, most notably the master plan, expansion and reimagining of Vazisubani Estate, a hotel and winery in Kakheti, Georgia.
