Nikoloz Tsikaridze

Nikoloz Tsikaridze is an activist, Paleoanthropologist/Archaeologist - Assistant Professor of Ilia State University, Chairman of Scientific Council of Caucasus Scientific Research Institute. A founder of the Dmanisi research team since 2003 and a member of various environmental activist groups (“The Green Fist”; “Green policy public platform”). Nikoloz is a head of the research group of Tsutsukhati, Sakajia and Tsofi caves. Bachelor of Archeology from Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; Graduate of the Erasmus Mundus Quaternary and Master's Program in Prehistory; PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Florence. His researches focus on Stone Age archaeology, paleoanthropology, paleoecology and theoretical archaeology.
