Sopho Aptsiauri
Sopho Aptsiauri is a journalist and photographer, based in Tbilisi, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
Throughout her career, Sopho has worked with several media outlets, including the magazine Liberali (2012–2018) and National Geographic Georgia (since 2016).
Her journalistic work is focused on Human Rights, with a special emphasis on Labor Rights. She has a particular interest in exploring and documenting the conditions in industrial cities such as Chiatura and Tkibuli. Her articles on these topics have received an award, including the European Union Prize for Journalism.
Sopho continues to contribute to projects like “Project 64” while engaging with topics that impact marginalized communities.
