George Sakvarelidze

Founder and Principal of MUA

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia. He obtained a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts.


He has participated in international competition while working on a project – Aire Tower (located in Leeds, UK) for Studio AMC based in Moscow, Russia. George founded studio Rooms specializing in interior and furniture design in 2003. Collaboration with architectural companies such as – Dephani AD (Grato City, Texx Group Development Project), further sharpened his skills. Furthermore, prior to founding, MUA George worked on many notable projects, such as rehabilitation and renovation of the iconic building “Ministry of Highway Construction” (present Bank of Georgia Headquarters).


As a founding partner of Multiverse Architecture (founded in 2012), his major works include Tbilisi Prosecutors Office; National Olympic Committee House; Ozurgeti House of Justice; Lazika Municipality Building; Batumi Hilton Hotel and Prime Class Residences – RIBA Stages E to K; Tabula TV public broadcasting Studios; Georgian National Agency for Standard and Metrology; Fabrika Tbilisi Urban Development including 385-bed Hostel and multifunctional urban space, Hampton hotel and Residences; Design for local offices for international companies including Phillip Morris and Booking.com.


He is currently a principal of Multiverse Architecture; Founder and Brand Director of Fabrika Tbilisi, Multifunctional Urban Art Place, and the Cultural Center (full member of Trans Europe Halles).
