Merab Alaverdashvili

Merab Alaverdashvili is a hydrological engineer. Since 1979, he has been the head of the Educational Hydrometeorological Laboratory at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at Tbilisi State University. He has lectured the courses of Hydrometry, General Hydrology, and Water Resources Balance Studies. He is the author of the textbook Hydrometry and the lecture course Water Resources Balance Studies. Alaverdashvili has authored around 70 scientific articles, including the monograph,The Hydrology of the River Vere. For years, he has led educational practices in Hydrometry and Hydrophysics, based on which he has published methodological guidelines for field practices.
